Since joining Barcelona from Zaragoza in July 2007 Milito has only appeared in 27 matches for the blaugrana.
The Argentine international returned to Barcelona to meet with team doctors to work out the next steps in his recovery program.
According to the official FC Barcelona website Milito told the media that “I don’t want to set a date for my return. I am focused on taking things each day at a time and getting over this injury.”
