Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has told Sport that he is relishing the prospect of Argentina beating
Brazil in his hometown of Rosario. Coach Diego Maradona insisted on the game being moved from Buenos Aires to the city of Messi's birth as extra motivation for the youngster. "To play in my city is special. This is my game - a 'Clasico' that Brazil will want to win. I don't care if I score or a team-mate does, what's important is the win," said the 22-year-old. "We know the game is important but we are convinced that we are going to win," Messi said. The European Club Footballer of the Year is not surprised by the hype surrounding the fixture and wants a win for the die-hard Albiceleste fans. "I understand all the hype generated by the game, and it's nice to know the stadium will be full. We must be calm but I am grateful to the fans who slept on the street for days to buy a ticket to the game. We must give joy to these fans," Messi added.
