Robinho Our Best Target !!!

Barcelona have been linked with the Manchester City forward since Pep Guardiola took the reins at Camp Nou and made it clear he was a fan.

Having missed out on Robinho when he moved from Madrid to Eastlands, Barça are back in the hunt and the club's technical secretary has made it clear he could be a winter option.

"He is a very interesting player and can play in the Champions League," Begiristain told Sport.

Also on Barcelona's list of future signings is Cesc Fabregas and the director reiterated his belief that the Arsenal midfielder will return to the Catalan club in the future.

"He is a player that has the profile for Barça. He was born and raised with football here," he continued.

"One day he will end up playing for us at Camp Nou. Of that I am sure."

The former Real Madrid stars would love to play alongside Barca players...

The Brazilian forward's comments, as quoted by Marca, are sure to fuel further speculation of a possible move to Catalunya for the former Real Madrid man. "It's not easy to say no to a team like Barcelona," he said. "They are the European champions. It is a beautiful city and I really like Spain." The 25-year-old was full of praise for Pep Guardiola's side and admitted he was pleased to be linked with them. He added, "Barcelona are a great team. I am happy that a club like them have noticed me. Who would not want to play for a club alongside Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta, [Lionel] Messi, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and everyone else."

Swap Deal With Thierry Henry was £30m??

Manchester City into selling to Barcelona their Robinho in the January transfer window by offering Thierry Henry in exchange, according to a report.

The Catalan club saw an enquiry for the Brazilian over the summer rebuffed after the Premier League side stated that a deal could only be done if Lionel Messi was included. How foolish they are right.

Given that the club paid £30m for the striker I would imagine his worth has only increased and that any deal bringing Henry in the other direction would have to involve a fair chunk of change given that the former Arsenal man is over 30. However I think that it’s most unlikely the Frenchman would come back to the Premier League to join any other club than his former employers so that could well be the major stumbling block to any such move. But from the past 4-5 matches this season, we gotta to sell him.

Marking The January Transfer Targets....!!!

The Blaugrana are still seeking a left winger and a central midfielder...

The summer transfer window may have just closed, but Barca are already looking ahead to the next one. There are some concerns at the Camp Nou about the size of their squad, and according to El Mundo Deportivo, sporting director Txiki Begiristain has already identified his targets for January. The two positions that the Blaugrana are seeking to re-enforce are left wing , where Thierry Henry is the only senior player, and defensive midfield, due to the absence of Yaya Toure and Seydou Keita for the African Nations Cup. Two names that have been doing the rounds recently are Robinho and Shakhtar Donetsk's Willian, but there are a whole host of other players being considered. For the midfield role, Barca are considering a move for Patrick Vieira, who could fill the position temporarily, as Edgar Davids once did. Cristian Poulsen and Daniel De Rossi are also being considered, although the latter will be unlikely to leave Roma. In addition, Steven Defour and Hernanes are also on the radar, but Barca would prefer to sign an experienced, temporary replacement, since they are well stocked in the position when the African duo return. As for the left wing, if Barca fail to land Robinho, they may turn their attentions to PSV's Ibrahim Afellay.
